Vincent Guerlais
Vincent Guerlais is one of the most famous names in French pastry and chocolate making, as well as an entrepreneur and president of the world’s most important pastry association, Relais Desserts International. Founder of the Maison of the same name in Nantes, he likes to describe himself as a “taste bud exciter”. He discovered his passion for desserts and chocolate at a very early age: at just 22, he opened his first boutique in Nantes, a project that has grown over time. Maison Vincent Guerlais was officially founded in 1997 by the Master and his wife Karine and has evolved and renewed itself over the years, also introducing the “Cacaofacture”, a production unit to better control the chocolate supply chain. Since 2018, he has been president of the Relais desserts association, a position that testifies to his role in representing and promoting French pastry-making. Today, Maison Guerlais is a structured organisation with more than 130 employees, offering extremely original, high-quality products. Vincent Guerlais is the model artisan-entrepreneur: a professional who, starting from solid technical skills, has been able to build a recognisable brand, combining creativity, production rigour and management skills.
