Sébastien Chevallier is a French master baker of international renown. He began his apprenticeship at the age of 15, later earning the CAP (Certificat d’Aptitude Professionnelle) in Boulangerie, followed by the Brevet de Maîtrise. After completing his formal education and training, Chevallier spent over a decade working in artisanal bakeries, refining his skills in classical boulangerie, viennoiserie, and pain party, developing a personal style that blends respect for traditional techniques with creativity and innovation. In 2011, he was awarded the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier de France, confirming his excellence among France’s top baking professionals.
He has authored several professional publications, particularly on techniques such as “Pain Party,” a creative approach to presenting and producing artisanal bread, reflecting his commitment to exploring new expressive and functional forms in the world of boulangerie. Alongside his work as a baker, Master Chevallier is also an active educator, regularly teaching at professional schools and baking academies, sharing his technical expertise with the next generation of bakers.
